wow, what a struggle i had in the last two days before deadline to get in my piece. barely unfinished at the last hour, i struggled to tweak the overall touches and making sure not to overlook any glaring spots. yeah, in the beginning i set out my art style to standout different than the norm in reference to udon's street fighter comic series. also, complimenting alvins lines was also a factor. but ultimately, i took a chance, and in the end i think it turned out pretty good. i am disappointed in myself for not pushing to really complete it. my background left alot to be desired, i didnt tap into any texture, and i lost a whole dimension failing to work my halo backlighting effect. ah, time. its amazing how the smallest of detail can enrich and effect an entire piece. but at least i fulfilled the piece finally - it is now uploaded over the original submission if you want to take a look. if you want to see the original its on alvin's site.
